I am very proud to have the practice affiliated with Carthage Area Hospital, a 35 bed rural critical care access facility that offers comprehensive outpatient, inpatient and emergent care. I have served on the medical staff and as facility Medical Director for many years, and continue to foster strong ties with this fine rural access facility.

Mirza M. Ashraf, MD FACC, FCCP
Dr. Ashraf established the practice on the Carthage Area Hospital campus in 1973, and has been providing Northern New Yorkers exceptional care close to home ever since. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, and is Board Certified in multiple specialties, including:

He resides in Carthage NY with his wife of many years, and enjoys participating in his community. He has served as CAH Medical Director for several decades in addition to maintaining a thriving practice.
Lydia Kirschman, FNP
Lydia is a longtime resident of the North Country, and is proud to bring her extensive experience to a dedicated patient load who respect her knowledge, candor and warmth. Highly skilled and credentialed in the management of chronic conditions such as coronary artery disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and other ailments, Lydia is also proud to see her patients for Primary Care services exclusively in the Carthage office.
